I saw the utility of the iSesamo when I worked at a cellular carrier that still offered in house repairs. Our service tech had one, and absolutely swore by it. After changing careers to that of an I.T. tech for a K-12 with a 1:1 program utilizing iPads, I knew that this tool would be a necessity.
I have to say that it works much better for starting the screen removal than anything else I've tried. That said, it isn't the "be all, end all" tool that I thought it would be. I've found that guitar picks are still my weapon of choice after I've used the iSesamo to get started prying the screen away. This is because the iSesamo scratches the coloring off the inside of the glass bezel, and damages the plastic trim, on the iPad 3s we currently have. It also bears mentioning that my particular iSesamo has a permanent curve (likely from the metal's originally being on a roll), and the grip doesn't go all the way to the edges. My grip has also started peeling at the ends, and the electroplating has started flaking off.
I use this tool daily, and would recommend it to anyone that has to work on mobile devices, but I don't feel, based off my example, that I can give this tool 5 stars.
